Why the human body is better suited for a plant based diet!

Vegetarianism is not new and has been followed by great thinkers throughout history. Leonardo da Vinci, a pioneer in the study of anatomy, Pythagoras and recently the great scientist Albert Einstein, and others have followed a vegetarian diet.

Years ago I read an interesting comparison between the anatomy of the digestive system of a herbivore, a carnivore and that of humans. It is in the introduction to the Hare Krishna vegetarian cookbook "The higher taste". As Socrates wrote "know thyself" the study of anatomy reveals useful facts about the human body. In particular understanding the digestive system and how it works provides insights into the the optimum diet for humans. For e.g. The human digestive system has many similar features to herbivores whereas human digestion differs to a carnivore in very distinct ways. These primary insights indicate that a vegetarian diet is more suitable for the human body.

Now you can share the insights of this useful study developed and shared by Milton R. Mills, M.D. Read about it here and discover why the human body is better suited for a plant based diet.
